BINTULU (July 21): Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi arrived in Bintulu today to join the Sarawak Day 2024 celebrations.

This marks the first official visit by Wan Junaidi to Bintulu since his appointment as the 8th Governor of Sarawak on Jan 26.

Their arrival was warmly welcomed by Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Dr Ripin Lamat, Tanjung Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang, community leaders and heads of department.

Wan Junaidi is scheduled to attend several events in conjunction with the Sarawak Day 2024 celebration, including the thanksgiving ceremony at Masjid Assyakirin and luncheon with Bintulu community leaders.

The couple will also grace the Sarawak Day 2024 gathering at the Old Bintulu Airport site on July 22.
