The contingent won RM1,000 for its achievement.
Second and third spots went to Narakng Salako and Serumpun Dayak Gunung Gading, which received RM800 and RM500 respectively.
A total of 729 individuals in 29 contingents took part in the programme, which saw participants walk from the mini stadium to Lundu town.
Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang led the procession, which covered 2.38km.
“I am impressed. It was merrier. Even the rain did not deter the participants from going on,” Billy said in an Ukas Edition report on Facebook.
“With this type of programme, we not only appreciate our ethnic diversity in Lundu but also took the opportunity to showcase our Dayak culture and traditions to the rest while we all celebrate.”
Billy added the organisation for this year’s procession should be a benchmark for similar programmes in future for Lundu.
